Vision

• To emerge as a department of excellence by imparting necessary knowledge and skills in Prosthodontics and allied sciences through quality faculty, infrastructure, evidence based practice in order to prepare globally competent students with good values, ethical research aptitude and socially responsible citizens who contribute to nation building.

Mission

• To ensure quality Prosthodontic education to the student by a comprehensive curriculum that focusses on knowledge, skill and attitudinal competency building, research ethics, evidence based decision making and cross cutting issues.
• To introduce novel methods of teaching-learning-assessments which are learner centric and focus on optimum training of all strata of students.

Department Facilities

1. Prosthodontic care for replacements of lost teeth, associated structures and artificial substitutes for oral and maxillofacial parts.

2. High end treatments modalities including conventional & advanced clinical materials and techniques for advanced treatment modalities including Full mouth Rehabilitations, Smile designing, Maxillofacial prosthetics and Oral implantology.

3. Inhouse Acrylic and Ceramo-metal laboratory facilities with high end equipments like casting furnaces, induction casting machines, ceramic furnaces and indirect composite units.

4. Innovative teaching learning methods of Flipped classrooms, Reflective Group Discussions and Basic Manipulation Simulated Exercises.

5. DANTSWAVLAMBAN: a unique denture camp service for the needy geriatric people as a part of Department’s outreach Program.

6. PraKrutrim: Continuing Prosthodontic Education Programs; around 14 CPE programs that focus on overall training in advanced and recent developments in the subject.

8. Research fervour with focus on research thrusts in nanotechnology, biomechanics, material science and geriatric oral health along with publications and Patents on unique devices and designs
